Preparation of the new National Quality Management Plan 2023-2025 [1]

At yesterday's session, the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia adopted the information for the start of preparation of the new 2023-2025 National Quality Management Plan in the public sector.

The Ministry of Information Society and Administration, as a national contact point and resource center for quality management, is an institution that coordinates processes and activities in this area at national level.

By establishing a sustainable process of quality management in the public sector, the country joins the European trends for establishing quality in the public administration operation and modernization of public services. The introduction and achievement of norms of excellence will ensure a more successful implementation of all current reform initiatives, especially in the process of European integration, which requires a well-developed capacity, modern and efficient management and timely achievement of the set goals.

In the second quarter of 2022, MIOA with the IN-COUNTRY SUPPORT mechanism of the Regional Center for Quality Management from the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA), began the preparation of the new National Quality Management Plan for 2023-2025, which is stipulated to be part of the new Public Administration Reform Strategy 2023-2030

The experts hired for the preparation of this document, together with the quality management team of the Ministry, organized several consultative meetings where the scope and structure of the National Plan were agreed therein, and the working group composed of representatives of relevant stakeholders also organized a working meeting listing there the needs of institutions related to quality management.

The new 2023-2025 National Quality Management Plan in the public sector will be ready in November 2022 as planned and will be submitted to the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia for adoption.

The successful implementation of the activities from the National Quality Management Plan 2018-2020, which was part of the Public Administration Reform Strategy 2018-2022, showed that the existence of such a document is of great importance for achieving the set goals for the efficient operation of the institutions and providing quality services for citizens.
