Skopje, June 16th, 2021
Today, the Ministry of Information Society and Administration presented the Third Annual Report on the implementation of the Public Administration Reform Strategy Action Plan for 2020, and also held a public debate regarding the same event.
Minister Jeton Shaqiri opened the event with these words: "First of all, I would like to emphasize that the Public Administration Reform is a process led by MISA, but a successful implementation requires equal commitment from all stakeholders."
The open debate was attended by representatives of civil society organizations and public institutions. I am very satisfied with the mass participation and contribution made by all stakeholders.
"The main commitment of our partnership stems from the need to enable substantial and structural engagement of civil society in key sectoral reforms, as part of the EU accession process, given that public administration reforms are key areas for the country's accession to the EU" said Minister Shaqiri during his speech.
Minister Jeton Shaqiri said: "In the context of creating an efficient, modern and service-oriented public administration, the duty of MISA is to contribute to improving the conditions for smooth communication with civil society actors and the development of civil society, in which policy making in an inclusive manner - by respecting the views of citizens, and in cooperation with civil society organizations in key sectoral reforms - will be considered a standard, not an exception.
At the end of the event, I expressed my gratitude to all participants for their contribution and used the opportunity to encourage the entire NGO sector in RNM to actively use all institutional consultation mechanisms for consultation and cooperation available with the institutions of the executive, donor community and other stakeholders, in a manner that will undoubtedly influence and contribute to the advancement of key sectoral reforms and the advancement of the potential of our society as a whole, ”concluded Minister Shaqiri.
