The possibility for cooperation improvement was the topic of today's working meeting between the Deputy Minister of Information Society and Administration Aleksandar Bajdevski and the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia, Kristi Karelsohn.

The two speakers discussed the creation of conditions for establishing cooperation between ICT companies in both countries. In this view, among other things, business delegation from Estonia is planning to visit to country, which would happen in several months from now.

As Deputy Minister Bajdevski pointed out, we have had successful and productive cooperation with Estonia in the past, especially since this country is a leader in digital technology.

Bajdevski emphasized that a lot of attention and work is paid to digitalization in the Republic of North Macedonia and many things have already been done such as: National Portal for e-services, Central Population Register, Interoperability, etc.

"The foundations of digitalization have been laid and it remains to work on developing services," Bajdevski said, noting that the Estonian experience is extremely welcomed, including the ones in terms of cybersecurity.

Ambassador Carrelson expressed her satisfaction in terms of the meeting as well as her support for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
