Azir Aliu is an international expert in the field of information technologies and education with more than 20 years of work experience implementing over 100 different projects in areas such as digital transformation, development of startup ecosystems, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

He is currently employed as a university professor at the University of Southeast Europe in Tetovo at the Faculty of Computer Science and Technology, under whose leadership he was the initiator and first director of the Technology Park.

In the past, he held the position of vice president of the University's Administrative Board. In addition to his academic experience, Azir Aliu also has a long career in the private sector as an entrepreneur, mentor and consultant and was also an advisor to the President of the Government on Innovation, ICT and Higher Education.

Azir Aliu is the only representative from North Macedonia in the "Digital Citizenship Education" Program in the Council of Europe.

He completed his formal education at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, where he obtained the title of Doctor of Information Sciences. He is the author of several scientific research papers and several publications in the field of Machine Learning.

He was born in 1976 in Gostivar, happily married and the father of three children.
