The Ministry of Information Society and Administration invites all interested parties and organizations to take part in the second public consultation regarding the draft version of the Draft Law Amending and Supplementing the Law on Audio and Audiovisual Media Services, taking into account that the objective is to harmonize the national legal framework with the Audiovisual Media Services Directive of the European Union and international standards, as well as strengthening the capacities of the regulatory body for the appropriate implementation of the new competences and promoting self-regulation and co-regulation.

Today in Brussels, the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Azir Aliu, leads the Macedonian delegation that held a bilateral screening meeting for Chapter 10 - Information Society and Media. Topics of discussion at the meeting with the representatives of the Directorate-General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Policies (DG NEAR) and the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT), were several aspects of the level of compliance of the legal system in the country in relation to the European legislation.
